Green Up Day, VT — Sat., May. 2 from 10:30am-12:30PM, Bennington, VT
Join us in Bennington for Green up day! Vermont gathers every year the first weekend in May to clean up our community. We will gather together and learn about the Jewish values around taking care of our earth and then head outside for an hour to clean up trash together. to RSVP and for exact location please email info@nefeshcommunity.org
Shavuot Art-Making & Exhibition
Saturday, May 16th, 6:00PM-8:00PM (Adults) & Sunday, May 17th, 10:30AM-12:00PM (children), Hoosick Falls, NY
Come explore the wisdom of Torah through creative study and art-making. Drawing from the Jewish Studio Project’s creative process, we’ll study a Jewish text and use paint, pastels and collage to reflect on its meaning, giving expression the themes of Shavuot. The first session on Saturday, May 16th, 6:00-8:00 is for adults and teens, and the second session on Sunday, May 17th, 10:30-12:00 is for children. Our process will culminate with an art exhibition and reception [with blintzes] on Sunday, May 24th at 3:00pm. We will meet at a studio space in Hoosick Falls. Purim Party - Monday March 2nd, 5:30-7:30, Shaftsbury, VT
Dance, eat & come see the Purim spiel a few of our families prepared on this Monday night festivity. There’s no better way to celebrate Purim at the end of winter than with friends, good food and fun!
